IJA-NYU Graduate Scholarship

Created in partnership with the New York University Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, the IJA-NYU graduate scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship to one of NYU’s journalism graduate programs.

These scholarships are open to all U.S. citizens or permanent residents, regardless of identity or background so long as the candidate shares the core mission of IJA. This scholarship is limited to students applying to our in-person concentrations. American Journalism Online applicants are not eligible for this scholarship.

This scholarship is available exclusively to students applying for our in-person concentrations and those intending to enroll as full-time students. This scholarship is not open to applicants for the American Journalism Online program or part-time enrollment.

IJA-NYU awardees can earn a graduate journalism degree in one of the school’s top-level NYU graduate journalism programs:

Proof of IJA membership must be submitted at the time of accepting the fellowship award. Please note this scholarship is open to anyone regardless of identity or background.
